The Charlesworth Consultancy
About me…
Hi, I’m Will. Welcome to a different kind of consultancy — one designed to help high-performing professionals think clearly, lead well, and sustain success over the long term.
For over 20 years, I practised as a Dispute Resolution and Reputation Management lawyer, advising celebrities, high-profile public figures and organisations across boutique and large City firms. I worked in environments where decisions were urgent, stakes were high, and pressure was constant. That experience gave me first-hand insight into the realities of professional life at senior levels — balancing billing, leadership, business development, and ever-rising expectations.
What I enjoyed most was leading teams and supporting individuals to think clearly under pressure, develop sound judgement, and grow into confident professionals. Although we didn’t call it this at the time, that work was coaching.
Today, my coaching draws on the same analytical rigour, strategic thinking, and discretion that defined my legal career — combined with a deep understanding of human behaviour, emotional intelligence, and sustainable performance. I work with clients who are successful on paper but want greater clarity, resilience, and fulfilment in practice.
I am a member of the UK Parliament’s All-Party Parliamentary Group on AI and hold a Certificate in AI and Leadership from Babson College in the United States (widely regarded in the US as the leading institution for entrepreneurship and leadership education and well known in the UK among business schools for producing founders, CEOs and senior leaders).
I am also a qualified executive coach, having completed my formal training at the University of Cambridge.
Most recently, I completed Harvard Medical School’s executive education programme in Lifestyle and Wellness Coaching, which focuses on the evidence-based foundations of sustainable performance: sleep, stress, nutrition, movement, connection, and behaviour change.
This training sharpened my approach to coaching professionals who are operating under chronic pressure — where stress and fatigue quietly shape decisions, habits, and long-term outcomes.
My work is grounded in a simple insight: most people already know what is “good” for them. The challenge is implementing change consistently in demanding, real-world conditions. Coaching provides a structured, confidential space to clarify priorities, challenge assumptions, and translate intention into action — one realistic step at a time.
I offer a focused, non-judgemental partnership for professionals who want to perform at a high level without sacrificing their health, judgement, or sense of purpose. Together, we identify what truly matters, remove unnecessary complexity, and create a practical roadmap for lasting success.
